serving eastern Iowa since 1973. Our friendly and

Rapids, IA just off Interstate 380 at
Exit 13
(just 13 miles north of I-80).
Our history—
Cedar Rapids Truck Center, Inc. opened in 1973 at 9201
6th Street SW in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. For over 30 years
we have worked hard to provide the trucking industry
with the highest quality in products, sold and serviced
by dedicated people, to provide the highest return for
our customers. This philosophy has guided us well over
these many years and allowed us to grow our business and
service many fine customers.
When we opened our doors in May of 1973 we were a full
line GMC Truck dealership that specialized in servicing
the commercial customer. We grew to become the largest
GMC dealer in the state of Iowa. In November of 1983 we
added the Peterbilt product to our company. This proved
to become a wonderful addition when GMC announced in
1987 that it was exiting the heavy duty truck market by
merging its product with Volvo. The Volvo GM product was
of very high quality but struggled with name recognition
while Peterbilt enjoys perhaps the highest in the
industry. This led to our committing in 1999 to
represent Peterbilt exclusively in the Class 8 market.
In 2007 our dealership made the investment to give our
facilities an extensive makeover to ensure our
commitment to our customers for another 30 years by
providing a clean and friendly service and repair
facility.
Cedar Rapids Truck Center, Inc. customers come in
various sizes, from the single truck owner/operators to
some of the nation’s largest truck fleets. Regardless of
the size, the employees of Cedar Rapids Truck Center
strive to provide the highest levels of service before,
during and after the sale. This commitment to quality
